Ice Auger Information
Jiffy Stealth STX This auger is available in 8, 9, and 10 cutting widths. Available in 2hp and 3hp models. The 3hp engine starts a little hard after a day on the ice but runs great after a couple of starter pulls, And it really cuts through an icy lake surface. Great reliable auger.
Retails at $329.00 to $400.00
Jiffy Stealth STX Pro Series Available in 8, 9and 10 sizes, 2hp engine and High torque transmission. Brand new is the five blades with 5 cutting surfaces. I have no problem cutting through 3 feet of ice on any given day. Starts without a second thought even in minus 25 degree temperatures. The 10 model when compared to other 10 models I have used certainly gets to the water faster than others, there is generally less binding when you get down into thick ice. Its not as noisy as the older Jiffy models, which I like, especially on a trout lake. Has a great 3 part warranty, one on engine, two on transmission and three years on the blades. Another great running and starting ice drill.
Retails between $429.00 and $500.00
Other Jiffy models include;

Strike Master Lazer Mag X Available in 6, 7 8 and 10 models, 2hp Tecumseh engine, doesnt seem as powerful as some other models. These drills seem lighter and more comfortable to use, a person with a smaller grip may prefer this model quite a bit over a jiffy model. They start great on the ice and seem very reliable.
