Kitsim Reservoir

Kitsim is located along the East side of the highway 36 south of Brooks Alberta. Access is available off of the highway 36 or539

This reservoir does not have a boat launch that I am aware of. I use my aluminum car topper to get out on the water and launch it off the damn on the east side of the lake near the inlet.

I personally have caught more 20 + pound Northern Pike out of this reservoir that any other Southern Alberta reservoir. I have taken 7 northern pike between 19 and 24 lbs from it.

The average pike in Kitsim is still in the 3 to 5 pound range, Perch fishing can be excellent in the winter and the occasional walleye will show its face.
